Introduction
‘Allo ‘Allo Desktop Theme v1.0 is a Desktop Theme designed for Microsoft Plus! (or shareware equivalent). This theme includes special start-up and shutdown screens, Wireless My Computer, beebfun Network Neighbour Hood logo and Recycle bin icons, animated cursors, themed wallpaper (24-bit colour) and some fun system sounds. It also includes a Café Rene ‘Allo ‘Allo screensaver.
Requirements
The.zip file contains all that you will need to run this under Windows 95 (apart from Plus! that is). A screen resolution of 800x600 pixels or higher with 24-bit colour is recommended to get the best quality.

Installation
The following instructions relate to the .Zip file version. If you have a file with .exe on the end, just double-click on it to install.
Unzip the archive to a temporary location with an unzip program that supports long filenames like WinZip. (Available from http://www.winzip.com/) You should now have one folder and the files listed above.
Go to the root folder of your boot drive (usually c:\) and rename the file logo.sys to logo.w95. Next, move the file logo.sys from the temporary location to this folder.
Go to your Windows folder (usually c:\windows) and rename the files logow.sys and logos.sys to logow.w95 and logos.w95. Next, move the file logow.sys and logos.sys from the temporary location to this folder.
Go to your Themes folder (usually c:\program files\plus!\themes\) and create a folder called C‘Allo ‘Allo Theme” (Note: spelling is important)
Move the others files from your temporary folder to your Allo Allo Theme folder (usually c:\program files\plus!\themes\Allo Allo Theme\)
Go to your Allo Allo Theme folder (usually c:\program files\plus!\themes\ Father DA Theme) and move the files (2) with the *.theme extension back up to your Themes folder (usually c:\program files\plus!\themes\)
Start up Microsoft !Plus and select Allo Allo Theme click on COK”.
If using Desktop Themes.exe (a shareware equivalent of Microsoft Plus!) double click on Desktop Themes.exe and select Allo Allo Theme from the current settings drop down list. Click on Apply.
If using Desktop Themes.exe double click on Desktop Themes.exe and select Screens from the menu bar. Browse to locations of logo.sys, logow.sys and logow.sys (usually C:\) and set current settings to those locations. Click on Install and OK.
Screensaver
You should have the Allo Allo.scr file in your C:\Windows directory (or whatever you called yours) together with a *.bmp file called Allo Allo.bmp. If your Windows directory is named different from WINDOWS then drag the files from the WINDOWS directory and drop them into your windows directory.
Here is how you set up the screensaver.
1. Right click on the Backdrop and click on properties.
2. In the Screen Saver drop box choose Allo Allo.
3. Click on Settings
4. Click on Select a Bitmap
5. Scroll down until you see a file called Allo Allo.bmp
6. Highlight it and click OK
7. Click on Preview (don't move the mouse)
8. You should see a picture of Rene with his famous ALLO ALLO quote bouncing across the screen
Distribution
This theme may be distributed freely so long as all files are kept together, no modifications are made and no money is ever charged for the theme in any form.
